Mingmorsels is a food processing enterprise located in Rajarajeshwari Nagar, Bengaluru, Karnataka. The enterprise was established by Mr. Arun Narayanan K (29). After completing Masters of Business Administration in Operations and International Business, he worked in food-based companies to gain experience and understand the food processing business. He was always keen on setting up his own business and had an inclination toward Bakery products. He conducted market research to know the scope of Bakery processing and started to experiment with new recipes. He eventually developed his own product line which included Cookies and Muffins that led to the foundation of Mingmorsels in May 2021.

In order to further expand and scale up the processing capacity of the enterprise, he started to search for alternatives that would provide him with financial assistance. He came across Mr. Abhishek B who was working as a District Resource Person (DRP) for the PM Formalisation of Micro food processing Enterprises (PMFME) Scheme. He sensitized Mr. Narayanan about the PMFME Scheme and guided him regarding the application process. Mr. Narayanan received a bank loan (Bank of India) of Rs. 9,75,000 in February 2022 under the PMFME Scheme. With the help of this amount, he purchased an Oven, a Planetary Mixer Machine and a Steel Top Working Table.

After the installation of the machinery, the processing capacity of the enterprise increased tremendously. From 50 Muffins per day, the enterprise started to make 1500 Muffins per day. The daily average profit of the enterprise increased from Rs. 200 to Rs. 2000. The entrepreneur is marketing the products via local stores, social media, e-commerce platforms and has also developed his own website. Presently, the products are being marketed in Bengaluru but he aspires to develop the enterprise into a brand that follows a franchise-based model across the country and even in the international market. The financial turnover of Mingmorsels for FY 2021-22 was approximately Rs. 5 Lakh.
